I might take a new job where I know a partner at the new firm. I didn’t go through a recruiter and I’m a 4th year in DC. My offer says I can get a prorated bonus at the end of the year but doesn’t mention a signing bonus. Can I ask for one and if so what’s reasonable? I didn’t apply anywhere else. I’m switching about mid-year. (Also if I’m being honest I probably am not going to get my bonus this year at my current firm because work has been slow)

Today I got an email from TCS to complete an ibegin registration. Whenever I login, it is asking me to enter PAN details and mail ID. If I give, it is giving a warning that my account is already present in ibegin and telling me to login with another email ID. As if I remember, one of the consultancy, used my PAN to register in ibegin but I’m unable to login since it is registered by their mail ID and my PAN.

When negotiating a sign on bonus with a new firm based on the fact that you were anticipating a bonus for that fiscal year and are leaving before that is paid out, do you have to do anything to prove you would have actually received a bonus/the amount of bonus you would have received?

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners.
