Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Just keep your business cards and use that
Been doing that for years since I moved to industry. Only been asked to show the card once, guess it still a good move lol
I’ve used IBM for years. I have never worked at IBM.
Details please!
I've never had anyone ask for proof of my company anywhere at Marriott properties. But you never know. And if it does happen, as a consultant, I'm confident in your ability to improvise on the spot and BS your way through it.

Rates aren’t usually negotiated with Marriott but with the individual franchisee or hotel with a few exceptions, like General Dynamics. Corporate wouldn’t enforce the policy, it would be up to the individual franchisee.
Granted, in my 1,200 nights with Marriott I’ve only been asked once.
Anyone has good list of corporate codes? The one that I have is outdated.
