In pre onboarding form epam is asking contact number and email id of ex supervisors and hrs from my past organizations. I don't have contact details of my managers with whom I worked 8 years ago. I use Teams and Zoom literally my entire day….Teams is far superior.

Well I’m aware of at least two holding companies who have usage requirements in all their of agencies. So you’re limiting yourself there.
Agree with point made above. I wouldn’t hire you as a pm if you couldn’t preemptively troubleshoot and avoid any sign-on hurdles.

I clerked from 2018-2020 - the entire federal court system was on Lotus Notes! I never knew I could miss Outlook!
Zoom is way more PITA to me. With Teams you can just click on the link and it opens in your browser.
Also: interview on your cell phone is not the best look. It skews the display.
I know! But I’ve had no choice in 2 interviews recently because I couldn’t open Teams on my computer (despite having two different apps downloaded)
Mmmm well you’d probably have a hard time if you took the job as the company likely works in the Microsoft ecosystem. So, it’s better this way.
Teams is a cluster no matter what, the UI is incomprehensible or maybe I’m just too old, but pretty sure it’s the former. Gsuite was much better at work in the 2020s. My company unfortunately recently switched from Google to MSFT, thought briefly about quitting because of it, but most other places are on MSFT anyway.
Interesting thread. Microsoft Teams is far superior then Zoom for corporate communications and collaboration. If you only expect to use the Chat and Meeting features your experience is microscopic in usage. It is a comprehensive platform that can integrate thousands of app directly, give you direct access to Files, and applications from a tab, and can run Live Events, Meeting, or just quick video calls. Just scratching the surface as you can add Bots and AI directly to automate business interactions.
Zoom and Gsuite are simply personal use platforms that will not compete to a well deployed Teams environment.

Ok, so my company Windows PC comes with "Microsoft Edge" pre-installed as the default web browser but our IT dept. vehemently discourages us using Edge and made us download Chrome first thing. Would you count all 50,000 employees at my company as Microsoft Edge users? 🤔

I don’t have a Teams account and have been able to join from browser without downloading. Maybe they didn’t send the right link? Or maybe it has to do with trying on your cell. I have only done on laptop with no issues.
All Teams links come with both App and browser links and like many others have said the browser version does not require you to log in as you can join as a guest.
Also I am pretty sure that many other video conference software also require a login if you are using the application (not all) because they want to be safe and secure and ensure you are part of the domain.
Reason why they have the "log in as guest option" its about security but hey if you feel like that was the right choice then do what you must do. To each their own.
