Need help deciding if this offer is worth moving for. Received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for an Associate level Sr. Systems Engineer in Los Angeles for $135k base. I countered $150k and a $15k singing bonus and asked if I could be brought on as a lead associate since I've been a lead/manager for a while in my current company.
Current company TC: $125k in Utah.
YOE: 7 with M.S. and MBA
Is the switching cost/risk and higher COL worth it?

You can pay for a car with a credit card?
Looks like I need to find better places to buy vehicles!
Don’t think the issue is how much you can put on the card per-say. The issue lies with the dealership since they have to pay x% amount to the credit card company for the transaction. If they allow you to put the balance on the card, I would definitely do it.
Alternatively see if they would let you put the down payment on the card, that should at least hit your minimum spend
Most dealers will tack on a credit card transaction fee, usually north of 3%
Yeaaa unless you can get 3%+ back on the purchase and there's no cc fee, the move is 0% financing.

They won’t take a credit card. If they do, it’ll be a maximum of $5k and they’ll charge you 3%+.
Most dealers don’t let you pay with credit card. It’s wire transfer or cashiers check.
I've always used my credit cards for 20% down at luxury dealerships, but recently picked up two new vehicles at non luxury and they capped my ability to pay with a cc to $4k. I'm going to assume that a $36k truck isn't luxury.
Please if you do get to pay it using credit card apply for a new one with a huge sign up bonus than on existing card like Marriott

Yup. Those free nights are worthless, don’t even get me started. Was going to do a staycation on a random weeknight in nyc and the dynamic chart had the cheapest at 37k for a brand that is worse than my shoebox apartment here.
If you can put the down payment on the card and pay the card off immediately, do it. Finance the rest at 0%. Do not pay the whole thing in cash.
Most dealers won't let you pay with a credit card. Take the financing. It's basically using free money for a year. Then pay it off early before fees kick in.
You can negotiate - I paid $20k with credit card no fees to dealer. Dealers will literally take any money
Was this recently because you know the car market is nuts right now?
Usually I’d agree with you, most dealers in normal times would take a substantial chunk of the car on credit as long as they still had some margin on the sale, but these days dealers be cashin in.
Borrow the money for free. Which in this market surprises me.
If you can finance at 0% why are you even asking?
