I received an offer to join a small rare disease clinical stage biotech company to do commercial strategy. My current firm primarily focuses on oncology and oncology is where I would ultimately want to build my career. I know I should take this job and I will since I want to exit consulting ASAP, my question is I am I closing the door to focus on oncology or would it not matter after 2-3 yrs to lateral to an oncology focused role?
