To my surprise, my company came back with a counter-offer—matching the salary and adding some perks I’d been asking for. Now I’m torn. The new opportunity is exciting, but I didn’t expect my current employer to fight to keep me. Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you handle it? Did you stay or go, and do you think staying after a counter-offer is a good idea?
