I recently finished 3 rounds of interview for an Associate Director IT business partner role. Post Interviews the hiring manager setup a 30 minute meeting with me to let me know that based on the discussion with the interview panel, they felt given my resume and experience (worked with IT business partners closely but never within IT directly) they wanted to offer the role to me at a Senior Manager level instead which feels like such a bait n switch. Has anyone else experienced this? Thoughts?

One of my friend got interviewed in Deloitte and she was asked to rethink her salary ask in the HR round. She reduced it to 1L less than initial ask. Now the status is in benchmarking approval. What does that mean ? Will they release the offer letter ?

Researching the job mkt & pay for nursing: It is so easy to set up a first interview esp. as a nurse. Set up a zoom meeting, in the zoom meeting ask abt job details and ask for the salary range. They will give it to you, and in my case it was the same range for both of the companies. (Hospice oncall nurse here👋). Then you fit in somewhere on that continuum based on education & experience—that where the negotiation comes in—they will make a case to place you as low as possible on the scale.
