I’ve heard from a close friend they work you pretty hard for well below market pay and it’s very hard to lateral to a firm that pays more. That may be different for you if you have a stellar academic background.

Only worked at JL as a summer associate and not in NJ. 15-lawyer office. Everyone is nice. I helped with litigation, responding to NLRB, union election, and post-arbitration briefs after attending it.

I’m at JL in a southeast location and love it. Great WLB and I am very happy with my salary and bonuses. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions!

Mid-market JL junior associate here. At my office we have a terrific culture and great WLB. It varies depending on office location but I’d strongly encourage applying.

Need opinion from experienced PMs - I’m currently working as PM for an agency, and my manager is starting discussions to give me a promotion. She wants me to move towards a position of Senior PM/BA, and even if I’m excited about a new challenge, I’m not sure about the BA part of the job. I feel likes it’s an entirely different job, but I’ve heard it’s a pretty common position too. Has anyone moved from PM to a hybrid PM/BA and has insights/experience to share? And for career growth? Friend and I who went to law school together want to go into practice together (specifically, COA/HOA collections); however, she is not licensed, yet. I am. She would be working the same as I, just unable to give advice, file, etc. (all the things that require a license). Our deal would be that upon her licensure, she would get a percentage ownership of the firm (probably 49-50%). However, I litigate, and would anticipate bringing on cases to the firm outside of just HOA/COA stuff. (Cont’d)…
