Need opinion from experienced PMs - I’m currently working as PM for an agency, and my manager is starting discussions to give me a promotion. She wants me to move towards a position of Senior PM/BA, and even if I’m excited about a new challenge, I’m not sure about the BA part of the job. I feel likes it’s an entirely different job, but I’ve heard it’s a pretty common position too. Has anyone moved from PM to a hybrid PM/BA and has insights/experience to share? And for career growth? Opinions 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am a multidisciplinary graphic designer, 4 YOE currently at an agency. I have worked with large international clients and wear many hats in my current role. I’m looking to go to in-house as I am looking for more stability and growth opportunities. I feel like I’ve applied to so many jobs but haven’t had much luck or the application is still pending. I have even had a few referrals. Is the job market just tough right now?

The tenant hasn’t paid rent since Covid-19 started back in March, and haven’t paid water since they moved in (when signing the contract, it’s said tenant is in charge of paying water). Tenant has lived there for about 5 years. We sent them a notice of eviction, but then can’t started the eviction because ny law. Tenant then filed for rental assistance. We received the money this April. We already paid lawyer the full amount of money for eviction.

I’m a management consultant with 2 kids and in the worst shape of my life at 140lbs+ (I’m 5’2, and the weight doesn’t look good on my small stature). I have a gym membership but struggle with consistency. When I go, I just go for the group fitness classes.

How do I get better: physically I need to get with a plan, and I suppose nutritionally as well? What has worked for you, as a management consultant and mom - to make time for yourself?

As a woman do you sometimes feel that senior guys talk over you? Sometimes it's the client and you can't exactly cut them off?

I went from writing code to just reviewing code and fixing bugs. Has this happened to anyone?

I got an offer letter, passed live scan, had orientation etc. However, nowhere in the offer letter or in orientation have they mentioned preemployment drug testing. Since I already had a start date, is it safe to use cannabis at this point? Or should I wait longer to be able to use it. I use it to help me sleep. How do you strategize when assignments are largely not urgent? I had several files that were longer-term and I had a long time to work on them, but I just wasn’t motivated to do so and kept working on shorter term things instead, and now they’re all coming due and some are blowing up because I didn’t organize/prioritize well. Anybody made the move from biglaw in LA to biglaw in Austin? What are the notable differences in terms of work culture and lifestyle?

Currently a senior litigation associate, soon to be partner (I’ve been told as much by the partnership) at a well-respected regional boutique firm. Problem is, I’m not sure I can stomach litigation much longer. Is it better to (a) stay and explore other options as a partner at my current firm, or (b) to make a jump to a AmLaw 100 firm (have an offer at one) to do same type of lit, thinking it my be a better stepping stone to something else? In (b), I’d stay an associate with no p-ship guarantee.

No matter how big your firm is, leaving/logging off before 5 on Friday is a huge plus
