Lesson learned: better title and more money mean nothing at the wrong company
This recently happened to me on the Creative side. Big bump in salary and title, seemed like a great opportunity, so I took it. 4 months into the job and it’s not at all what I was told. Anyway, I got an offer paying me even more (and another bump in title) and I’m going back to an agency in the network I was previously in.
Kinda nervous but it’s your life right? So screw it if you’ve only been there for a bit. Life’s too short and you need to do what’s best for you and your career.
LinkedIn! Start applying for jobs again (if you see anything you like) or maybe reach out to recruiters/talent acquisition at a company you’re interested in working for and see if they’re hiring. Also some advice I got from hiring managers: if you’re worried about only having a 3-4 month stint on your resume, say you freelanced OR just leave it off

Take accountability and grow the juniors you have, fight for new resource. Power is not handed out, it’s made

I’m in the same exact position on the creative side. Not sure if I should look for a new gig or ask for my old job back or what.
