Usually you sign an exclusivity agreement before a realtor starts actively working with you. Had you signed anything before making an offer/starting to look? If you found the place and called the listing agent you can have your own
I have not signed anything prior to making the offer, that’s good to know. The current real estate agent helped us write one offer and sends us listings but they haven’t worked too in-depth (give my offer was rejected) so I was wondering if I could submit offers on other houses without a real estate agent
Did you read before you signed? Did you real what they say after you signed? What do the documents say?
I read the entire thing six times, the documents didn’t include the “exclusive agency” verbiage as I see here (https://www.njrealtorsace.com/Webinar/Attachment/2021/12/20/exclusive-buyer-agency-agreement-/1122/)
However the more I read the more it says that a buyer-broker agreement can be taken in an exclusivity agreement so I asked if the above things I signed can be taken as such
