Struggling for fair pay is just part of life. It's pretty much the history of the labor movement, that and fighting for safe working conditions. I haven't been keeping up on this particular case, but it fits a pattern, it seems.
Funny thing is I knew a CNA who was raking in close to 100k who didn’t make but maybe $26 an hour. I get it but some nurses I know personally make so much from working the hours they do that they end up making more than their salaried boss. Ppl tend to want to make money but also not work longer hours to achieve it. You must sacrifice in life for that. Can’t make a lot of money without sacrificing something in return.
I'm not sure I would say it's just a part of life but it's definitely a part of capitalism and living in a world with so much corporate greed. In my opinion it's on our government to compel corporations to pay better wages and offer better benefits/protections. But our corporations also sort of run the government, so that seems like an impossible thing too. I guess my point is, it's not just inevitable, it's because they gain something when they keep your pay so low
