You’ll have many jobs in your career but only one life. Prioritize yourself and your health and be kind to yourself in this time. You are certainly not alone in your feelings
hey OP! feel free to message me, I’m on FMLA for anxiety work-induced happy to talk to you about my experience. You’ll need a great medical team who supports you as dealing with our disability vendor (MetLife) is a pain.
I have no advice, but just wanted to let you know you’re not alone, and I’m sorry you’re struggling. Hugs.
Accenture also has an LOA benefit (I think it’s called Future Leave). It’s unpaid for up to 3 months but it’s protected leave so you’re guaranteed a job when you come back and you can still get health insurance (I think it’s basically Cobra so you end up paying more).
I’ve had a couple of MDs tell me to use it and have talked about their experiences using it. It may be something you want to look into
Look into a medical LOA on the portal. If approved, FMLA protects your job (for 84 days) and STD replaces wages (60 days at 100%, then 60% you can offset with PTO). Take care.
Call EAP. If you go to loa w documentation, then you have eap incidents
Accenture used to do sabbaticals. Unpaid though.. not sure if you can pull that off. You do need to prioritize your health though… maybe take a corp functions role or something.
Not a good idea. CF continues to be hit with layoffs and unless you’re in a low cost market, the last place I’d look. Also I love the assumption that CF is a light load. 🤣 There is a medical leave of absence that is paid if approved.
To trigger FMLA, you need a doctor’s note that supports/suggest being away. State that support FMLA will pay you and you get to keep insurance.
Find a psychiatrist & take medical leave - you should be able to get this so you can get to the root of it (please know some infections can cause panic attacks not always stress causing it as many will tell you), get treatment and recover. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15990495/#:~:text=Because%20these%20symptoms%20are%20atypical,%2Dstage%2C%20neurological%20Lyme%20disease.
