I support broad forgiveness for the low hanging fruit including those in "financial hardship" ie they'd get out from them in bankruptcy anyway (hypothetically).

That said... I'd love to see other avenues completed first, then see where the dust settles. SAVE is here and forgiveness is supposed to start even this month. Will that actually happen? Or will we have more empty promises? How many under SAVE will already have their debt cleared making this new program moot?

Can grad students get $20k forgiven if they got Pell in undergrad but outstaning loans are only for grad school?

Not mad that student loans being paused means I can use the money for Christmas. Are you still making payments during the pause? Or are you saving the money for something else. My christmas present to myself is a spa day!
