LAX needs a direct, high frequency rail line to DTLA
My spouse is an architect at LAX. The U isn’t going away. They’re building connections (both sides of security) between all the terminals (like the one recently completed between international and American). A new satellite terminal is under construction for International. A people mover will come down the center and take people to a new offsite structure for rental cars, taxis, and hotel shuttles, it then continues to the Green Line expansion (not Expo) where there will be the major bus terminal as well. All large vehicle traffic will be taken out of the U. Each terminal is getting overhaul, but managed and paid for by the individual airlines, not the airport, so results will vary. All will be done by 2023. Then there’s plans for expansion to 2 additional terminals (one on the parking lot next to Southwest, and one on the other side of Sepulveda.)
Dont complain if it is still better than LGA.
Amen!!
Currently sitting in an Uber trying to get to Terminal 4. I tried telling my Uber driver to take the arrivals level there but he doesn’t understand English. #laproblems
I always bring that airport up when people question the value of strategic planning and customer experience
It’s about as bad at ORD Monday morning if you take the Kennedy in. Then again, we shouldn’t be in a race to the bottom haha
It has popcorn ceilings too. No go
Okay McGruff
lax major bus terminal? Buses are the last thing LA needs
@A1 that’s where SF takes the cake
They are spending $14b on LAX between 2015 and 2023 when the elevated rail should be completed

I heard they’re getting rid of the U before the Olympics
FYI it’s a minimum of a $200 fine (more like $500 in practice) if they get caught making drop offs on the arrivals level
Why Sunday morning tho?
LA is a failure of a city. I hate living here. I just want to live in a city where I can take public transit to work and to see friends, rather than having to drive everywhere.
Take LGB when possible
