The week of my wedding, my husband (PL SQL Developer 4 yoe) was laid off. That was a couple of weeks ago. Have an offer to join a fairly new family office investment team in PE buyouts but will be a fairly significant cash pay cut vs what I was making in tech corp dev. Considering an offer to go from firm (4 YOE) to become a privacy/product counsel for a tech company (non-faang). One concern for me is the potential of a recession in late 22 into 23 with the fed rate hikes. My fear is if that happens, me being on the chopping block as new in house counsel. If I stayed at the firm, I feel reasonably secure as an associate of not being laid off due to the market. How do in house counsel positions typically fare during lay off cycles? Any experiences to share?

I joined Genpact 10 days ago and my Onboarding session is done but after that I didn't get any call from my supervisor or HR for the laptop delivery, shift timings nd all. When I am trying to connect with my HR and Supervisor through email, they are not replying and hiring manager is not picking up the call.
