Hi guys,
Need help,I am joining VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.
So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?
Accenture - interviewing for Asset Management - Consultant. Coming from industry, made it onto ‘Skills Interview’ website makes it out to be an in-depth resume review. Any additional info on the process. Also, any tips moving forward in interview process, especially given industry - consulting transition. Thanks!
Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

You might want to check your contract or your offer letter. So far as a lawsuit goes, it probably depends on what exactly is in writing. The situation sounds bizarre, especially considering that you went through so many interviews two months ago. Moving doesn't sound feasible, so you might as well get serious about finding another job. Even if you have a viable lawsuit, you'll presumably need employment.

This is why I always check the contract before signing and starting. I got screwed over by this previously but it was actually in my contract saying my place of work is the office address. You may need to check.
My recent employer did the same, so I asked them to change the wording and then I would sign, which they did!
If you haven’t started work yet, it seems unlikely.
If you have then constructive dismissal seems possible, so you can at least qualify for severance.
Consulting a lawyer may be best
I doubt it. The only way you have recourse is if it was written in your contract. Even then, you might be SOL.

That’s crummy.
IT might have been a decision that was made after your interviews.
Do you have a signed employment contract that states the stipulation of your work location, and if it can be changed at employers discretion?
