I understand here we have more of US audience but still can anyone tell the FIRE number needed in India (Tier 1) city like Delhi or Gurgaon? I assume and read 8 cr INR or 1m USD should be enough but anyone can tell based on their experiences?

Assuming that your investment returns are the same as the US stock market the math is your yearly expenses (accounting for additional expenses you may need in retirement) x25.

The 4% rule is not reliable for early retirement.

It's still approximately the same SWR, just make sure to account for your expense level (it's probably lower in Delhi than USA :) ), and your tax situation.

If you need 3 lakh every month and shoot for 2.5% SWR and assume 25% tax rate on your income, you might need about 20 crore. If you can get by on 1 lakh a month with a paid for house, you could shoot for 7 crore plus your house.

You may want to purchase health insurance in india when you are young and healthy.

12-15 cr

That seems on the higher side for me, but I suppose you are probably looking at a lavish lifestyle

I wanted to share that I am in my first job as ui/ux expert and I am the only ux/ui person in the team. I am expected to take care of entire research and design of the product. It becomes very overwhelming as the product that I am working on is in a early phase and I am expected to think about ui as well as ux and also design entire app on my own.There is no user interview or user testing happening as my project manager thinks it can be done after product is launched.
