You can look at Business Analysis roles at Capital one. If you’re interested, feel free to DM me. It’s often more revenue/credit financial analysis than techy/data science/ coding heavy analytics. Though we do also have data analyst and data science roles.
Our Business analysts are often very quantitative and have stats backgrounds. Many, if not all, will spend considerable time in SQL, and make complex models. It’s not for the faint of heart, but lmk if you’re interested

Being in FP&A for a company pays dividends when they need people who can speak to DBAs and Architects. You end up running the company and becoming someone they can’t lose.
This is what I do and I have experience with all the tools you mentioned - there’s definitely a market. feel free to DM.
All of this is extremely useful in finance roles especially if you have some basic finance/accounting knowledge. Understanding customer needs , while understanding the hurdles the dev team will need to jump over to get there is valuable for feasibility assessments on projects. Maybe a good set up for S&O roles where you’re not an SME but understand both sides of a project.
Your skills are definitely in demand. Very few people understand accounting and analytics and it’s hard to cross train.
Yes, take functional role it will help to understand the process
