Hi Folks,
Need opinions from experienced Management consulting folks:
Is it a wise decision to leave Deloitte USI Strategy practice for Accenture strategy in Capability Network when I am due for promotion to Engagement Manager?
I am getting 40% hike from Accenture CN when my promotional hike in Deloitte is expected from 25% to 30% (my guess).
What should I do? Renegotiate / Stay / Switch.

Need some inputs from people already working in Deloitte, I have one offer in hand but I am really concerned about what the people are telling about WLB. I do have my own hobbies , love to spend time with family and friends along with doing development work for my company. Will those be really screwed up if I join? I am having other offers in hand with same CTC , So can someone help me understand the practical WLB experience in Deloitte? Deloitte Deloitte USI Deloitte India
Hi fishes, I have resigned 3 days after the bonus communication day. As soon as i resigned, my bonus as well as new increment got revoked without any notification. So when i checked they said you should not be on NP before actual payment of bonus & first salary with new increment. I can understand for increment but bonus is paid for last year performance. Isn’t this injustice? Barclays

I can see many of my friends moving from civil service/Govt Exam preparation to Corporate world and you want to do reverse!

The grass is certainly greener on other side, we live in mirage
Happiness is state of mind .... Join some volunteering work for Isha Foundation or Art of Living you will start to respect what you have
I agree with Functional lead
Try social sector. Is much more fulfilling than corporate.
Please identify why you want to move to civil services? If it is because of money then you can switch, IT provides loads of money whereas you can only have a certain amount of money in civil services. If you are bored with your tech stack then maybe you can start learning other skills and switch on those roles. If you are a technical person and it no longer excites you then you can do an MBA(executive or standard) depending on your work experience.
Civil services is a very long shot friend which will require years of preparation and no job can give you happiness if you can first not identify what floats your boat :p
I prepared for a year for officer cadre jobs in banking. I got through all of them but when I went to see their offices i understood that I won't survive in their working conditions.
So you gotta identify what makes you happy and then decide.

If you are still in early twenties and are an impeccable rattu tota, sure do, otherwise still you have plenty of other great government vacancies that will take much much less effort to get through.
Which ones are super easy to crack
Switching career will not give you happiness. You will have more challenges in civil services than corporate jobs. So choose wisely.
Civil jobs mein maar lete hein and neta log itna sunaate hein, koi respect nahi h civil servants ko. Neta log apne pairo ki juti samajhte hein. Yahan saala manager kuch jyaada nahi bol sakta. Upar se bas 12-14 ghante kaam karo civil mein
Achha ha pension toh stop kia lekin ye DA badate rehte h aur inko baki facilities b bahut milte h.
Promotion toh auto rehte h kuch saal ho jaye toh promote krte h. Aur kaam toh sbko pata h kon kaam krta h GOV m.
Really? Is that your reason to be a civil servant.
Problem might be with your organization/tech stack, try changing either of them and see if it works. Civil services is highly competitive if you're a general candidate.
