I want to transition out of B4 consulting into Energy, Power and Utilities industry. I've got 6+ years experience in Strategy, PM, Change, and E2E implementation.
Any advice on how I can make this transition?? Im currently trying to leverage my network to get me referred into some DMV based Energy corporations but any advice or feedback on this would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏽

Earlier this year I was making $75k as an FA and now $90k as an SFA in OC which is pretty much market value (4yrs exp - 2 in B4). I wanted that raise to $90k for a while and now that I have it, I catch myself thinking about wanting more & more money, even though I have more than enough to live out my means. Does industry have billable hours? At the big 4, we are required to work a certain number of hours each week and if we spend too much time on anything we are questioned on why it took so long. Is that a thing when you go in industry?

Long post alert; I have been interviewing with a b4 for a senior con role since Mar end. Cleared all the rounds including case study and got strong rating as well as good feedback. Fast forward to last week, the talent POC calls me up and informs that she has asked the business if the position is still open, because now they just need the business approval to roll out the offer. I immediately felt demotivated as to ‘why now’ after all rounds have been cleared (continued in the comment below)

Expected salary for a first year JD Tax Associate (KJD so no legit work experience besides summer internships) at an accounting firm in a large expensive city (NY, LA, SF, Chicago)? Big 4 or BDO/RSM/Baker Tilly etc.

War or no war is quite often a sensitivity, and adoption of EVs/renewables/biofuels will be between X and 10X.
