I’d take it and keep looking. It’s rough out there right now and the “better thing” might not come around for while especially with all the tariff nonsense going on.
Very simple: do a cost-benefit analysis. Are you better off staying unemployed with no health insurance? If you take the other job, you’re resetting your career path and may have long-term implications. You have to assess your own situation. Reassess your competencies and determine if that was the factor that led to your success. Did you receive an offer for the job that’s 30,000 less? Or are you asking whether you should pursue that job? If so, yeah, what’s the harm? You have to determine how long you can survive without a job. If you’re in the United States, go get Obamacare. It’s much more reasonable now than it was in the past.
Take it
Take it and keep looking. You don't need to put it in your resume
If you're going to be miserable then don't do it because its harder to get promoted in industry. If you have savings and can sustain yourself for at least 5 more months, find a better role
what kind of place is it?
can they afford more?
if not maybe take it and enjoy the place, if so, ask for more.
You don't have a role right now? I would probably take it in this job market and keep looking for something else. Its much easier to find a job when you already have one.
