I was in 4 processes. 2 of them seem to have slowed down with HR saying panel not available, waiting client approval etc and one just stopped responding after asking for time for 2nd round.

Are there any signs of slowdown or companies rethinking their hiring plans ?

HR is scheduling the interviews without checking time with me. One interview was scheduled and then it was rescheduled to a different time at last minute. I wasn't available at that time so I mailed the HR for a different slot. They again scheduled it for a later date without checking the time with me.

I renegotiated my start date and it’s different from the date I signed on the offer letter. Do I need to request a revised offer letter or is the email thread with the recruiter sufficient. By the way, my background check is already in progress.

Do large law firms really recieve enough applications for a position that they cannot follow up when someone reaches out to check on thier application? I get that if you have to reach out, they probably weren't interested anyways, I'm just curious why there is a practice of just leaving applicants in the wind. And also, how does one go about finding out why they were rejected, if thier qualifications are "impressive"?

Folks, need some advice here. I got my hike letter at Unilever and it looks like the hike is only on the basic salary (as per the letter) and not on entire fixed (basic + hra + other). After graduating I am in home since 5 months , and today got a offer with 1.5 year bond 2.4 LPA package and java developer role in small bootstrap company of only 15 employees, not even giving laptop.
