I was invited to a interview for a role at McKinsey and scheduled an interview, but it’s not what I want to do and is lower pay than what I am currently making.

Is there a polite way to decline it?

The current work and work culture both are getting miserable in DUSI for me and I am desperately looking for a switch. If any of y’all can refer me in their organization it’d be really helpful.

Did an interview yesterday that was supposed to be behavioral, but turned out to be more like the case interviews I did in undergrad. I think I showed off my business knowledge, but he kept harping on my lack of an official framework (vs me saying "I'd explore it from different stakeholder perspectives: customer, line employee, management"); pretty sure he considered it a failure.
