I got a job as a infrastructure consultant right out of college 3 years ago and later became a solutions architect at the company I am at now. At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). I interviewed with capgemini for SAP ABAP role and my YOE is 4 years. Just 2 hours after my interview, I got a call from someone at Capgemini saying that I am selected.
They just asked my notice period and current location.I asked them, what is the next round going to be and they said that it is going to be salary discussion. But till now, no one has reached out to me.
Does it mean they got another candidate for same job?
If they get back to me, how much should I ask?

I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter. When I called HR to change the date she told me to first accept the offer letter and resign from the current company and give me the screenshot of your resignation mail. So I did as she told. But till now my joining date is not changed in the offer letter and HR is not replying to any email, call or sms. What should I do now?
