I worked in consulting for 4 years before switching over to industry (real estate analytics company). I’ve been at my current job for 6 months. During the time I was interviewing with my current company, I had applied to Northrop Grumman. They finally reached out and want to interview me. The role would be for the DoD and I’d be submitted for a secret clearance. Is it worth it to interview/switch? There’s definite pros and cons between them & my current job but anyone have more insight into NG?

I have an interview for an in house position (only attorney) at a small non-profit focused on conservation easements. I am a transactional associate at a mid sized law firm. The prospect of freedom from the billable hour and contributing to meaningful work are the draws. The cons are that while the salary at the non-profit would only be slightly less than what I am making now, pay increases and opportunities for advancement will be much less than where I am now.
