I’ve been struggling to find an agency gig for the last six months. freelance seems to have dried up and now I’m considering going for an in-house job. how bad will this move fuck my career?

How long did it take you to find the right position the first time you went in-house? I am 5 months into it and regretting turning down the (lowball) offer I got a couple months ago.

COVID led me to leave a T2 consulting firm with only six months on paper to show. Really been having trouble figuring out what I can pitch myself for. (Pre-MBA background is hospitality, eek!) Ideas?

I have 3+ YOE working as an IT service manager and I’ve seen so many companies stating they want people from “diverse backgrounds” but then soon change their minds when they find out in an interview that you don’t have very specific product management experience

Controversial question - what are some roles/functions to avoid at Google for ex-management consultants, in terms of potential under-utilization of skills and limited career progression? Common exit opps tend to be in StratOps, PMM, PgM/Solutions Consultant, roles in Sales; would anyone not recommend any of these roles?

I personally don’t see too many issues working at either Amazon or Facebook because I work at Deloitte where I’m sure we have many questionable clients and worked in financial services before. I am a Sales Support Engineer (Applications Engineer) with 2 YOE. I am thinking about making a change because my job is no longer challenging, and there isn’t much growth opportunity in my company. I love my team, but I feel like I may need to move on. I am at 70k a year and have been told time and time again that I have learned faster than anyone they have seen and am a top performer. I don’t feel like I am being compensated for that either. Any suggestions on companies and target salaries?

What are some typical roles that Digital Producers on the agency side would become on client side? Looking for titles that I could research to determine a move out of agency when that time comes.

Once you get into a FAANG company, is it better to stay where you are or move around? I’m a dissatisfied with my current job but I have vesting stocks, work 9-5, and people to know and respect me. I am the sole provider for my family and value quality of life and stability. I have some interview requests from other FAANG companies that I know pay more but I worry about starting over. Anyone switch companies and either regret it or are glad they did?

How many firms is too many? I’ve practiced 13 years. Since I was a 1st year associate, every 3 years or so I’ve been recruited for another opportunity that is hard to pass up. I’ve been at my current firm 3 years and got the call again, again about an opportunity that is hard to pass up. I don’t like having a reputation of a flight risk, but this keeps happening. Should I decline to pursue the opportunity just so I have a longer track record at my current firm? This will be my 4th if I move.

Hello All, my joining date needs to be extended by 5 days in JPMC and HR said in call that no revised offer letter based on new joining date will be issued and new joining date confirmation will be somewhat communicated prior to 3 days of onboarding.
However he mentioned he will reply back with a confirmation email on top of the email which I have sent requesting for revised joining date.
