I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

As an early career consultant, I love change management and org design, and I intend on continuing to gain skills in this area. As I think about how I might map my career over the next 10 or more years, I’m unsure of my career trajectory if I continue to focus in thi space. I do hope to attend grad school and continue my education, but I’m curious where I may be able to go if I’ve become a change manager or director of change at a firm and I’d like to climb higher. I’ve done a bit of research, but have yet to find a solid example of someone moving up to C-suite (for example) as a career change professional. Is there any sort of precedent for this? Any other considerations you might include?
Very cool and I’m also interested. What industry is your client in? Can you share more?
I’m curious as well. The vast majority of those I’ve seen in the C-Suite with such backgrounds are in CHRO positions, and come from operational roles (e.g. HRBP, Talent Management).
This is good to note as well! Also, do you moonlight as a consultant or a baseball player 🤪😂
Interested as well... can’t help but notice the lack of responses making me nervous...
Right??!
Following, I'm on a similar path with leadership and change management.
Former consultant here and I did something similar to what the first poster shared: did a chief of staff role for the chief people officer at a tech company. Then transitioned into my next role in OD here. I see my next role as either a promo in role with a broader scope or a move to another team. Realistically as you grow in your role you get more exposure to different parts of the business or People / HR org and expand your scope. So while you have a solid foundation in OCM and OD, you’re able to apply those skills to broader roles.
Following because I’d love to know as well ☺️
