If a CCO/ECD reached out for a chat but I’m not really interested in leaving my current agency, would it be bad to still go? I don’t want to burn the bridge as it’s somewhere I’d consider in a year or so, but not really sure how to handle the situation or if I’m just overthinking it

Literally say that. You’re not ready to go yet but you’d love to meet if they’re still interested in connecting for the future. Then it’s on them. A good CCO/ECD will always be scouting for talent whether it’s for now or later

like

Just be careful if you do take a call or meeting with them. CCOs talk and if you slag the place or people you’re currently working with then it could get back to them. My last CCO is known for taking meetings then telling the persons current CCO about it to stir paranoia. Childish antics.

Always take the call. You never know what opportunities might come your way.

Also, even if this place or offer or whatever isn’t what you’re looking for, it’s still a good way to see how your value is perceived by other agencies. That way when you do decide to move on you’re got a point of reference for what possible employers might offer and you want to negotiate for.

Question about inclusion…. I’ve been teaching inclusion for 5 years so I’m still a newb, but a first year coworker of mine said she got points off on her observation because her kids were scattered in the classroom and she was having to move from kid to kid to assist. While I see the point of putting them together for convenience, I don’t agree with this at all! To me this is like singling them out by putting them all together instead of INCLUDED amongst peers. What do y’all think?

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
