If I have a connecting flight from domestic to international, how soon do I need to arrive for the first flight? Are their customs process I have to go through when boarding? Never traveled international before…

First domestic flight:
IAD -> DFW
Second international flight:
DFW -> ICN

Even tho you have a connection first 3 hrs is recommended. When you check-in at IAD they’ll verify your passport info

They’ll also verify your passport info when boarding in DFW

Showing up the usual 1-2 hours before (dependent on status/PreCheck/CLEAR/checked bags) is fine

No customs when boarding, you just need to show your passport upon check-in so the airline can verify you can enter South Korea

Luggage delay claim question

I used Chase explorer to buy tickets for my vacation and luggages were delayed for a month. Per chase term I am entitled $100 a day for 3 days. But the claim agency chase used has been asking for airlines response, which has not came (2month+ now). I am concerned insurance will use this as an excuse to never compensate. Is there a good way to handle this situation?
