What are managing consultants salary range?
Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

At 100k, here’s what you make per day:
Before taxes: $416 / day
After taxes: $250 / day
For Freelance, a good rule of thumb is just doubling your full time day rate per day. So...
Your Freelance day rate is:
Before taxes: $800 / day
After taxes: $500 / day
Accurate. OP @ $100K fulltime should be $800/day freelance.
My formula is extremely simple:
Fulltime annual ÷ 125 = freelance day rate.
Hourly is freelance day rate ÷ 10.
It works every time.
ACD1 @ $170K would freelance at $1,360/day, which is close to $1,400/day.
The formula accounts for everything. All of the days off an agency gives, including half days before long weekends, summer Fridays, extended breaks for big holidays, sick days, personal days, 401(k) matching, various types of insurance, equipment and a freelancer premium.

Well there are 100,000 days in a year and you work 1 hour a day so I would say $1.
facts 💯
1k a day
How did you land a 100k job as a mid-level?
What sort of a book do I need to command that salary? Awards? Motion skills? Just kick-ass Art Direction made to a high level of taste and craft?
$800/day freelance rate.
Use this guide:
$70K fulltime = $600/day or $60/hr freelance
$100K = $800/day ($80/hr)
$125K = $1,000/day ($100/hr)
$150K = $1,200/day
$200K = $1,600/day
$250K = $2,000/day
If you make $100k, you can afford a smartphone with a calculator app.
Oh boy. Pot/kettle/black.

I’d charge approx $150/hour or $1,500/day (assumes 10 hour days)
That’s too high. OP is an art director. That’s an ACD-level rate. Should be more like $800/day.

There’s bound to be varying opinions on this. Charge what you feel comfortable with and know that the higher you go, the more people will pay attention to your work. Personally, I try to play the long game and charge less, but I know plenty of people who want to make the most they can at all times possible and bill a top rate. In any case, it sounds like you ought to be in the $800-$1000 a day range.
Set your rate higher than you think you should (within reason). You'll be glad you did.
At 150 I was able to charge 1000-1200. So maybe 700-800?
You can ask my friend google if you want?
My simple freelance math is take your annual salary... take the first 3 decimals (100) and cute it in half. That’s your minimum hourly rate, given you are working 40 hours a week. ($50). That said my annual salary would probably be in the neighborhood of 140k. I charge $100. But that’s for 20 hours a week.
$50/hr is too low. OP should charge $80/hr.
You can actually google this. There’s an auto calculator for it.
Those calculators are nearly always wrong. They don’t consider sick days, summer Fridays, personal days, federal holidays, the odd days off after Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, half days before long weekends and vacation days. They also don’t consider health, dental and vision benefits, or being forced into an IRA instead of a 401(k), let alone not getting any company match. And they don’t consider equipment overhead, gaps between gigs or a freelancer premium.
