Hi, I am currently making a lateral move from a B4 Real Estate Tax group to another B4 RE Tax group. The current offers are for both Chicago office. The first offer came from PwC RE Tax at 105K base with 15K Bonus. Deloitte BTS with 40% of the work also being RE (already knowing PwC offer) offerer is100k base plus 15k sign on bonus. I tried to negotiate the bonus with Deloitte, but recruitment replied immediately no final offer, meanwhile PwC has raised the sign on to 24k bonus. Wwyd?
EY's technology sucks compared to PwC
Title and salary bump sound like good reasons to move 😊. I’m guessing the culture and hrs are similar, why not get paid more to do the same work? Good luck with the move!
In the NY metro area
That’s not a lateral move, that’s a promotion. Check glass door
Yeah you’re right. My bad. I was thinking a lateral move as in firm bc I would be going from one big 4 to another not to private.
Would probably ask for at least what the senior salary would be at pwc in my experience that was around 80k, would also want a sign on bonus. I would also ask yourself why you would want to make the move? Is it just for money, title, or do you think the culture will be different. Both groups are heavy on compliance and hours.
EY1: I heard the opposite. That the PWC technology sucks in comparison EY’s. Disclosure: EY tech is awful...
I’ve heard that comp at EY AWM this year have not been great this year. Just FYI. (I’m at another big 4 but have friends in EY FSO)
Don't do it
