USPS is a federal entity, so your experience won’t change. It’s not like a state is known for better customer support than another. If you have to deal with state frequently for whatever reason, you may get better experience at smaller Midwest or southern state than coastal ones. I found people are generally more chill out there. But again, it’s won’t be substantial. Definitely not New Jersey, it’s not cheap either. Again, state has nothing to do with how businesses in that state offer customer service.
So may think about other factors such as housing, weather, cost of living, taxes , city size, proximity to airports, public transportation and so on.
Move to Dallas. Best for a growing family
Big desi community, cheaper housing comparatively, lower taxes, good schools, decent weather so dont have to deal with snow.
Consider a location where you have friends or family around. It helps with child care and emergency. Have you explored NC ?
Not explored NC, thanks for the tip. Looking to learn from experiences here as we don’t have family or friends in the US

Second NC. We have been in NJ for 14 years, and if you want proximity to NYC but at half the costs, then NJ is right. But it’s got nothing else going for it. If we had the flexibility, we would move to Charlotte in a heartbeat.
Also in NJ for over 10 years, moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn to Jersey city to now suburb and I would move out as well if I had the flexibility! The road craziness, cost of living and overall just lack of walkability factor! I hate taking the car out for every small thing and this years winter is not helping...
I absolutely love NJ. NC is nice but NJ is so close to NYC. The neighboring states are all happening, you want to go to the mountains - you have Vermont, NH. Opportunities are great, there’s a good desi community - so, I enjoy the Indian festivals too.
Texas is boring AF. I don’t understand the point of living cheap when you don’t have anything for fun. Was in Dallas last year and it was so dull
Yeah desi community would help as we have no family in the US at all
Dallas, NC or NJ. Cali is good too. Best of luck 🤞
Add Austin to that mix
Dallas! You can get a big house, cook, nanny and a big desi community. Weather is not bad except for 3 months in the summer
You are discounting the desi potlucks

NJ is worst choice if you are planning to enjoy life at moderate cost. Weather is horrible if you don't like to live in snow 4 months , extremely high property taxes , very high property prices. Most balanced option for weather, Desi community, schools and cost of living are Charlotte, Raleigh, northan Atlanta, Dallas , Denver may be. Area near Washington DC such as VA, MD have huge desi population
Ofcourse don’t want to move to California to kind of double the expenses. Is New jersey a good option? Any other states you recommend for satisfaction across multiple areas but not too deep for the pockets as well.

I am genuinely curious why the USPS experience is a factor in choosing where to live? Do you happen to run a MJ mail order business ?
No business, but moving from Canada, it just feels there is a lack of professionalism in all these aspects - regarding education, behaviour of folks all around
Red state / blue state.
Massachusetts - its beautiful and its near Vermont, NH and Maine for weekend trips.
Come to NJ habibi

In TX young couples don't feel life as you have to fly out of state for any entertainment. But if you have family your activities will be different and local. So if you have large groups of friends with kids you can plan local stuff

I have lived in MA, FL, NJ, MD for extensive time to experience what those areas have to offer. MA property prices are through roofs and there are no new builds coming up that are good fit for starter homes. Also IMO desi people put too much focus on 10 rated schools. These schools do have their advantage but there is not going to be huge difference between 8 rated school in MD and 10 rated school in MA. School curriculums are almost same across country. Biggest difference is extra curriculums that are run by school or parents in these areas. Also lot depends on which Desi kid and Desi families you hang out with. Some are ultra competitive and hyper engaged like in CA , some are laid back like one in NC
