I'd look at something I could do remotely. I'm thinking something customer service related. I have friends who have done this in between jobs, usually for insurance carriers. The pay won't be great, but the flexibility should allow you to continue chipping away at your business while bringing in some extra income.
That’s super interesting - do you have any specific companies in mind by chance? All good if not
Kind of depends what you’re good at and what you can find. If you can sell sales could be a great option to make 50k a year on 4 hours a day. I worked at an electric supply company as a dispatcher once upon a time which kept me afloat and was only about 3 hours of real work a day.
Interesting yeah, I’m just searching on LinkedIn but only finance and fitness stuff pops up due to my work history.
Ideally want something unrelated to fitness because I don’t want to burn out from doing something almost like what I want to do but not exactly nor do I want conflict of interest
I'd be wary of anything that put you on a rigid schedule, or put you in the position of doing mind-numbing work. Ideally you'd want something where you could do it but not be burned out each day by the time you had to work on your own business. Depending on your skillset you could look into things like sales, where you could control the schedule to some degree.
Great to know - sales experience never hurts. Commission only structure may be stressful so I’d have to dig a bit deeper
I have been in that position for the last 5+ years as Chief of Staff (just a fancy title). I have worked for numerous start-ups over the years, so I have seen a great deal. The most important advice I can give is to watch expenses. The little I know about your company, you need to either raise funds or, as you have decided, find a job that allows you to work on your company part-time. As for what type of job, it depends on your past experiences. There is no question sacrifices need to be made... always remember Google was a 10 year success story. Good Luck!
