Hi Fishes, I have an interview with PwC AC in the coming week. My tech stack is Power BI, SQL, SSRS,SSIS and Tableau. YEO -4 Current CTC is 9 LPA. During the initial call with the recruiter he asked for ny expected CTC and I asked for 17 LPA. Can anyone from PwC comment on this? Is this too much to ask or is this what someone at my current level would get paid at PwC. Please let me know!!!! PwC PwC India Pwc AC Deloitte Deloitte USI

I've heard of paying back if you leave, but not if you are let go.
I got a signing bonus wayyy back in the day. I don’t remember it saying I’d have to pay back if THEY let me go, only if I was the one that left in under 12mos. I also remember the payout date being vague/not with my first paycheck; it was kind of a “when payroll has the time” thing, I think it took a month?
I’d get hard dates, both “by X date” for payout, and “no sooner than Y date” for leaving.
I also wouldn’t love the “if we let you go” part- that’s their investment. They shouldn’t have incentive to get rid of you. Maybe if they don’t remove it outright you can soften it, like they’d have to get rid of you “with cause” for broach of highly unethical conduct per the employee handbook, and outline what conduct would apply.
I got a signing bonus at a previous company. I think they paid it with the second paycheck after I started.
Payback terms were 100% if there was separation in the first year, and 50% if there was separation in the second year. I don’t remember if the separation clause was one-way or two-way, but the company was known for not letting people go quickly or easily, so I wasn’t worried about it.
Everything is negotiable. If you ask them to clarify when and how the bonus is to be paid, and/or the terms of separation, I can’t imagine they would object to that.
Secondly, they do not list a date they’d be require to payout the bonus. It just says when it seems “practical”. That seems strange to me.
Get a date on that or GTFO. "Reasonable" could be anywhere from within a month to when the sun goes supernova.
I had something similar, but the terms are for a year, which I thought was a little petty considering the bonus is so small.
Normal T&C should be something like this:
If you are to leave the company within a year of acceptance, this bonus will be repaid to the company on a pro-rated basis.
And yes - ask for a date you’ll receive!
