I feel the same way about miserable attorneys 😂😂😂

Progressive: "We're only accepting 80% liability."

To the claims adjusters - when an attorney gets you a great result and is reasonable to work with… why don’t you go back to that attorney and give them more work in the future?

Yea… not legal advice there.

THIS - but from an adjuster’s perspective 😂

Why in the world would an adjuster treat their defense counsel like 💩? We’re on the same side!

like

No I definitely meant the adjusters that retained me.

Yes, were on the same side.

That's why I'm particularly annoyed by it.

Sometimes we're treated like we're not on the same side

Same to the attorneys that send 100 subpoenas 😂😂

You've never eaten a fancy pb&j? You're missing out.

Also a really easy quick and healthy breakfast or midnight snack if you use GF keto bread, chia seed jelly and a delicious protein nut seed butter.

Looking to do a career pivot into VC. Have 12+ years of B2B tech marketing experience with IBM, Google, Deloitte and a number of startups. Have skills in messaging, product launches, and sales and enjoy diving deep on my personal investments (all public companies beyond a few RSUs). Have an MBA in the back pocket too. Thoughts are to join as a marketing expert and learn unique VC investment philosophy. Any advice on how to break into the VC world? Just started networking/planning.

Adjusters:

What are you considering when assigning cases to firms in the defense panel. I’m a 2nd year associate at a national ID firm (~300 attorneys) and want to create rapport with claim managers I’m currently working with. Any advice?

Alternatively, is there something that will cause you not to assign cases to particular firm?

I work in insurance. I was working for an Allstate agent and was fired the day after my grandmothers funeral for being “unenthusiastic in our morning meeting”. Now I’m having anxiety searching for a job. I don’t think I want to sell anymore yet every single recruiter I interview with says I should, that I have a “salesperson mentality”. I’m burnt out. Has anyone else felt this way? How did handle it? Is there a different career path I can take or am I destined to sell insurance forever?

Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.
