I’m a 1st year, going into my 2nd, attorney and applying for new jobs. The bulk of my work at this ID firm was mainly project based, although I got to work on several cases and have ample experience in motion practice, discovery, etc. With that being said, in my most recent interview the partner said he expects me to move the cases along, without any direct oversight (only to run ideas by him). I'm an introverted person, like to keep to myself, focus on work, spend the rest of my time on family, gym etc. I've been told that I need to work on my communication and client relationship building skills. any books I can read? I don't follow pop. culture anymore, no longer actively follow team sports (but sporty myself) as I consider it bread and circus for the masses and don't rly enjoy work drinks... Am I doomed? Hi everyone. I needed advice on finding a secure virtual internship for public health in health promotion or health needs assessments that is research based. I know it may sound a little broad but I need a few tips on finding a site that has virtual based internship.

So I get that in a corporate set up, you are supposed to be sharp and witty and think on your feet. Trouble is, I am extremely slow with comebacks. (Think Ross in Friends/Amy in B99) at the crunch moment, I generally end up not being able to give a good roast back. Unfortunately the best of them come to me like a few hours later (dinner/shower/TV) and I am left ruing and amazing opportunity to have gotten one back. I am awful at jibes and roasts.
