I have 6 YOE in. Net+Angular and got an offer from Legato Health Technologies with 20 LPA Fixed, i joined Infor just 11 months ago with 12LPA Fixed and i will get the hike in August. If i resign now i will not get hike and i am a critical resource in the project, i guess Infor might try to retain me by matching offer. What should i do? Should i resign ASAP and not negotiate with Infor . I have all these doubts because Infor is a product based company.

There are people who spend unnecessary amounts of money on luxury clothing. Never feel out of place.
That's true. Thank you!
Post reading this post, I thought of sharing my story too. I'm a girl working for the last 6 yrs with a decent salary of 22 LPA but no savings. If I talk to people and say I cnt go on trips as I dnt have money or cnt join them for outings to clubs they think I'm a stingy person. But all have different priorities and responsibilities, if I want I cn spend 80K per month just on myself and look rich like others mentioned wannabe rich person bt I chose not to do that, I have one frnd like that who will spend all her salary on trips and clubbing in monthend she will cry for even 2K. I chose not to do that not to have that life, still I'm also not having any savings and hardly have 5K out of 1.5 lpa pm salary but reason is totally diff, so for outsiders I may be a stingy or shabby person bt I know why I'm so.
My father sacrificed a lot for our education, he went into extreme debt to fulfil our needs and to give us the education we wanted because earlier he sacrificed alot for his family and in return got nothing. He gave 5 LPA for his brother's daughter marriage as they begged for it (I dnt even want to call them family or cousin to be honest) by taking debt as his salary was only 10K that time only thinking they will help him in returning it which was his biggest mistake. That was 20 yrs ago and till now he is still in debt as the interest went till 50LPA. So anyone else will not think abt spending money on their child during such time bt he did, he gave us best education by listening to taunts of others saying if u dnt have money why are you spending on these things, just marry off ur girls with the money as dowry which u r spending on their education.
I'm glad my father didn't listen to them, he is my hero and my everything. So now I'm earning I spent all on clearing his debt, as an elder daughter I take it as my responsibility to help my father, my sister and brother are still in college so once they also get jobs hope we will do it together.
Basically I wanted to share this story to say dnt think how others feel or look, you know ur own situation and priority better than anyone else and focus on yourself on achieving ur goals like for me my goal is to make my father debt free. If my husband supports my decision I'm ok else I won't 3ven marry. That's it even if the world considers us as outsiders or outcast let them but in our story we r main lead right and we should behave like one.
You are doing amazing. Each good hearted parents deserve a daughter like you.👏👏👏
You won't ever be able to compete with the class, etiquette, social behaviour and lifestyle of people coming from royalty (generational wealth / family business) no matter how much you earn.
Better to accept it like me.

My package is 25lpa fixed. I have a permanent remote work and moved to my hometown. My expenses sometimes becomes as low as 15k or max goes to 30k. I am easily beating my expenses from my investment returns.
I left deloitte to work with this small company and that is turning out to be a really good decision till now, even when everyone told me not to do it as I had a bright future in deloitte.
If you are from tier 2 city and dont njoy the happenings of a tier 1 city I suggest you to do the same.
@SR.Infra Developer: How you are getting 25% return in 1 year!?
1. There are one class of people who are true rich.
2. Second class of people show off even if they are broke buying on loan etc. though this is less in Bangalore unlike North India.
3. Third one are different class of animals whom I have seen personally. They are frugal in everything they don't eat outside with their own money only if there is someone else party then yes, don't buy any subscription, walk for kms. Literally save penny to penny and buy iphones, good bikes 2nd/3rd hand and good clothes, sometimes wear others clothes and use others bike/car to show off as they can use these products for long time and impress others.
You might think that this is not true but I have seen many people who have done these things yet won't pay even for coffee share they had. They make others pay.
1st class of ppl not in our hands so can't bother thinking about them and you are already better than 2nd and 3rd class ppl mentioned above if you are not among them.
That was insightful. Thank you.
Most of the folks who roam around in church street, Brigade Road in expensive cloths are people who wants to look rich. All the Gucci, LV clothing they wear are first copies. People who are actually rich won’t have time for these non sense, and would be spending their time building networks or making money.
Makes sense. Just that it makes some people out of place. Thank you!
It’s called FOMO. Dont fall in that trap that you are missing something
Thank you. Actually I'm not looking to follow them. Just that I feel like an outsider amidst them :)
30L is not decent money these days. I live in Tier 2 city (Indore) and 30L is very less here. Not sure how you are surviving. May be you’re single

How did you deduce OP is talking about girls 🤔
Being nicely dressed and smelling good is not always linked to spending stupid amount of money. Obviously there’s cost associated to it. It’s a habit for many. If you wish to be similar make some efforts and you should be there soon.
Also generally the people you see on streets are not billionaires or generational wealth folks as they do the roam around on the streets. It’s people like you and me who choose to dress and present themselves in a better way.
Thank you. That's likely true. Just that I feel such people belong to the upper echelons of the society given how they come across as but I might be wrong.
It’s all about how they are presenting themselves,
there could be some who are really rich and others who are not that rich but are better at choice of clothing, maintaining lifestyle with lower budgets etc.
But this should not put you in FOMO, you can also look rich with the decent package you have.
However I think we should be believing in being rich rather than looking rich, that’s my thought here.
Other things will come along the way
I thought I won't respond.. but here I am. My language may seem rude or racist, but I'm not (
I'm saying this cause people today cry about everything).
It's gonna be long.. sorry about that.
The mistake that you're making is, you're going to places like the Commercial/Brigade/Church that's a spot for the wannabe rich and the spoilt rich. The people there dl look hi-fi and well dressed, but that doesn't mean that they are rich.
I suggest that you spend about 2-3 hours in UB City mall and observe everyone around you. And specifically, the ladies/gents buying items inside the mall. You'll see how they are carrying themselves and the look at the well dressed others around you. You'll see the difference.
Same way, suggesting that you go on a bike ride to Woody's in Kolar or Vaishali in Yediyur. And then see the people with the costly bikes and just interact with them. You'll understand the difference between a real rich and a wannabe rich.
You may be getting 30LPA, but you're looking at the wrong crowd. The idea is to not look rich, but feel and be rich. Once you understand the personality that the real rich people are carrying and if you implement those into yourself, you'll look well dressed even if you wear Decathlon's 300 rupees t shirt and 400 rupees shorts.
I have a lot of friends with 3+ bikes, each bike costs 20L and 4-5 houses, 3 cars both high and low end including Hyundai grand i10. Their riding gear totally costs around 3-4L. If you call them somewhere, they'll come in Decathlon tshirt and shorts, puma chappal and access scooter. They even went to buy a 50L bike in this attire.
Dressing according to the occasion is another thing. The ones who start getting money suddenly in hand, they don't know what to do and they do around spending all their cash. Specifically girls. I've had my ex's wearing short dresses and when I ask them the reason behind wearing them, they say that it makes them look rich, hot and sexy. That's exactly a wannabe rich mindset. If you look at people who have always had wealth in their family, they look amazing even in 2nd hand top and jeans. One such example is a friend of mine who has 12 houses all around Bangalore giving rent and some poultry farms. She literally wears only Roadside, Big Bazaar or Fbb clothes and she looks great in them.
You can also read about Pranav Mohanlal. The son of Actor Mohanlal. That guy is always in Hampi, Goa doing rock climbing, Parkour and living life as a gypsy and acting on movies whenever he feels like it. He will be sleeping in tents, using Public Bathrooms and wearing clothes from the road.
So it's about the personality of the person. Do what I said and observe carefully. Don't compare yourself with anyone. But, you should see how you can improve your personality. Interact with them and ask them questions. They will definitely guide you.

Be yourself, save and invest, most people today are buying things on credit or loans. Do whatever makes you happy.
Thank you bro

I noticed your post and felt compelled to share some thoughts. You're not alone in feeling out of place in certain environments. It's natural to feel this way when there's a contrast between our backgrounds and the surroundings we find ourselves in.
Appearance can indeed create perceptions of lavishness, but they don't define our worth or our place in the world. It's like looking at a facade; what's behind it can be much more ordinary than it appears.
Finding joy and satisfaction is not about chasing every experience or mimicking every lifestyle we encounter. It's about appreciating our journey and the unique experiences we gather along the way.
So, take your time to find what resonates with you. Whether it's seeking depth in the simplicity of your roots or embracing the vibrancy of new environments, both have their own value. And remember, the community is here to support you in that journey.
Warm regards,

If I like oreo milkshakes, someone eating sizzling brownie might tempt me. Due to this temptations, i will try sizzling brownie. Once i had sizzling brownie, right away I'll be thinking that, Oreo feels so good to me and my soul. That's my priority
Seems you have deep experience or would have been a research topic during masters and came to conclusion!!
If not, experience it and you are old and smart enough to validate your theory for sure.
I feel spirituality is nothing to do with religion. Pick any one and start but one should be sure to explore all directions so we become worthy of commenting or taking sides. I'm sure that one would never take sides as they become learned. No side means no mess for sure.
Above all the gyan I fkd here.. the most Important thing is to stop concluding and begin journey. 😬
Some people with even 7 lpa salary having good family financial background can afford this easily, whereas some one who's hard earning prefer not spending money on lavish thing just for show off.
The people that you are talking about are from a very privileged background, who live lives far from the reality because from the very start they got everything they wanted ver easily wdout any efforts
Then there are people like us coming from the middle class bg and understanding the basic realities and nitigrities of life, as you rightly mentioned that although we are earning decent money we still feel out of place because we value our money and we understand how much hard work it takes to earn this.
So just be chill and most of these people are dumb anyways, don't feel any less of you brother ❤️❤️
Soch aasman mein honi chahiye lekin pair zameen par.
I have an in hand salary of 1.2L per month in Kolkata, and I still feel poor. I have massive savings, but I dont buy costly stuff because I hate seeing the numbers in my bank account come down.
Do what you like and enjoy and also learn new things to make yourself better for yourself so that the right people who align with you gravitate towards you as friends/good network circle etc
