I’m a retired service member (20 years experience) who has been working in the civilian sector for the last decade. Kids are grown. Remarried. Living happily. But I’ve been pushed out of my normal schedule to assist with operations in order to help “justify my existence”. Not to mention that I’m feeling a vibe to find a career in which I can serve my fellow veterans. I get the feeling that I’m being pushed out. Thoughts?

Hi ! I have gotten an offer via email for what I believe is level 9 data visualization specialist in the dc area. I have a masters and 3.5 years of consulting experience. I’ve gotten an initial offer and trying to get some context on what the range is for this and whether I should push for more or accept. It is 5,000 above what I said my minimum was, but is significantly more than my current salary. Thanks for any input :)

35M. Friend zoned after one date. What am I doing wrong? I met her at a baby shower. We talked/text regular for about a month or so because I was traveling for work. I am done with all my rounds at S&P Global and shared my documents to HR. No one has asked about my expected salary yet. Is this usual in their process. How much can I ask for an experience of 9 years. How many days does it take to release the offer and what is the slary structure.

One- I am a woman in a male dominated industry, I didn't go to a prestigious school like most of my peers and I just didn't think I deserved to be there. Anyone have any friends who successfully pivoted out of advertising? I know a handful of people who are half-trying to, but I can’t think of anyone who has made a clean break, on their own terms, into something that appears to be making them feel more fulfilled than they were in the ad biz. So they continue freelancing in order to make a living, while not gaining much traction elsewhere.

I’m so burned out and not sure what to do. 29 in Texas. I am currently a Deli Manager. My experience is in banking, real estate, shipping and receiving, caregiving and the obvious retail. Unfortunately I struggle getting a job due to a deferred adjudication on my record for theft. It was dismissed but it still pops up I have 4 more years before I can seal the record. I'm at a career juncture and have decided on a career in anti-money laundering as my new path. I'm also highly interested in additional education to further my career and am eyeing graduate school. Which is best? A law degree or a master's in international relations? Those are where my interests lie. I keep reading that JDs are valued in compliance but am wondering if a different graduate program is better for my goals. I already plan to obtain the CAMS certification. Thank you!

It feels premature to cut the chord on the others, but also the decision between the companies becomes harder. Also afraid of the possibility to go back on the acceptance of the one role in favor of another.
