Upward mobility and growth opportunities should be your main decision point. What do you want to be doing in 2 and 5 years from now?
D1 - Yeah I figured someone would've guessed pretty quick
Damn only 23? Stay and enjoy consulting while you're young, 6 figures will be there before you're 25.
Yup declined the offer today, but they are so nice , they said whenever I'm ready to leave acn I should let them know :). Thanks everyone for the advice, and oh if I get promoted in Nov at ACN I should be around 105k ish..
Uh yes take it!! And then get me a referral.
Thx A2 initial offer was 94 and talked to them to give me more , they said max they can go is 107k
Haha figured as much, coming from a fellow scarlet knight 😁🏈😔
Thanks for all the advice

What position? Are you into pharma? I'd imagine work life balance must be better
What is your salary now though? And would you need to commute from the city to J&J?
It's going to depend on the future growth potential of the j&j job. Salary at ACN after promotion will probably be around the $95k - $100k range or so + a nice bonus, so you won't be leaving for much more money (if any), and you will be 2-3 years from manager at ACN.
I'm currently making 92k and the role is very similar to what I'm doing now at ACN, SQL, tableau and alteryx and position is IT Sr. analyst data science..they are are in app services group at JNJ
Yup will have to commute from City to jnj
I think the pharma industry is a great place for consultants to transition into. Very fast pace environment, innovation and lots of opportunities. I would say take it and worst case scenario you stay there 2 years or so and come back to ACN or another consulting company as manager. I would say you should negotiate a bit though, never take the first offer.
Meh I don't see that pay bump that great given the salary progression at ACN. To be honest, the talent at JNJ is hit or miss. A lot of people from my alma mater work there and were definitely not the brightest. Depends if you want to work in pharma and value work life balance because the hours are good
