Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group is too slow. For anything you wanna do inside the organization, 12 months of tenure is required. Even for promotions its the same no matter hoew exceptionally you perform.
Whereas Bain & Company has no such minimum tenure requirement. My colleague got promoted in 4th months of joining right out of college.

What will the project dynamics be on a project staffed with 3mdps, a PL, and myself, a summer UG intern? Just got staffed and will be hearing more on Monday from the team, but it came across as an interesting staffing composition.
Have the feeling I'll be making quite a few slides as the only junior. Anyone staffed on a similar case composition?

If your budget on your own is 3K a month you definitely don’t need a roommate.

I hear Logan Circle area is good for foodies. Depends where you're commuting to for work (if you are commuting). Agree Navy Yard is a little bit of its own island in DC.
Virginia is the only acceptable answer
It is not
Logan, Shaw, AdMo are the only places I’d be willing to live if I was 24 in DC. Your social life will be walkable, lots of options either alone or with a roommate at that budget.
Wharf/Navy Yard are nice but cut off and a little sterile.
Georgetown and further NW are so much less accessible and more family oriented (save for the college students in Gtown).
VA you will always be traveling into the district unless you have a big friend group out there

Navy yard and wharf are cut off from the rest of the city. What kinds of things are you looking for? Will you be commuting?
Idk what these people are saying. Navy Yard and wharf aren’t cut off from the rest of DC. I came to the wharf almost every week when I lived in NoMa.
Just get on the metro, it’s literally not hard.
Glover House is a 15 min walk from Georgetown and right above a Trader Joe’s. a healthy mix of Georgetown students and late twenties early 30s crowd. it has awesome amenities, rooftop, and it in a quiet location but so close to all the Georgetown restaurants and shops
But it’s so far from a metro. Hope you drive.

There have been a lot of posts about this (particularly re: Navy Yard). I’d suggest searching the bowl to learn more

I just moved from the Logan Circle area do Navy Yard as a 26 YO F. No regrets. My combined budget was 3600 w my partner and we got a 2 BD 2 BA in a new luxury building with gym and pool. VERY hard to find NICE and NEW buildings in the Logan Circle/Shaw area for that price range. I had a great time in the area but I got tired of it pretty quick and its expensive to be going out all the time, which is essentially what i was doing ( +gym membership + thinking about pools for a hopefully pandemic free summer). Big advocate for Navy Yard now after making the switch, its truly not as isolated as people make it out to be and the buildings are nice + with a ton of deals (i got waived move in costs and 1 month free)
I agree with all of this! It’s honestly a great community. People here are great and there’s lots of bars/restaurants, parks, etc.
I got my 1 bedroom in a luxury apartment with gym and rooftop pool for $2k
