Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
Anyone got extra tickets to worlds or is going?

Determine what you want to prioritize. If you want more international routes and miles that are more valuable/flexible (for now — TBD after United scraps their award chart in November), go with United.
... I don’t really know why you’d go with AA unless they have a direct to your client city and UA doesn’t. I suppose Qatar Airways is in OneWorld if you go to the ME often and want access to an excellent business/First class. Partners elsewhere in the world are about the same or significantly worse
In Asia, OneWorld partners Cathay Pacific, JAL and Qantas are pretty good. Star competitors Air New Zealand, ANA and Singapore are too, but which is more useful depends on your travel needs
If you can make Executive Platinum on AA, the 4 systemwide upgrades you get are pretty great. Free upgrade to business from any economy fare and each certificate is valid for up to three sectors (I’ve gotten creative and done things like Asia-US with stopover for two months-South America all on one certificate). Waiver of most fees and access to AA and partner first class lounges is great too.
