Hi guys,
Need help,I am joining VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.
So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?

You’re in NYC tax in RE, hours are going to be the same at all Big 4. If they’re giving you a 2nd year position, are you going to be promoted this same year or are you going to be a 2nd year for the next year+. It all evens out. Unless you have a bad rep at Deloitte, don’t fit in with your group, or want to switch service lines, I wouldn’t jump to another big 4. Same circus, different clowns.
And look long and hard at culture. I’m alum of EY and current Deloitte. There is a difference between the two
What’s your take on the differences between the two?
Senior Manager 1, what culture differences do you see? I am currently at KPMG but thinking about switching to Deloitte.
Each person had to decide for themselves. This is my experience
They offered me a 2nd year position and 16% raise 4 months earlier than I would receive here at Deloitte, will I not receive decent raises moving forward at EY in order to level out my salary with my peers? I’m more curious about the hours in the EY NYC RE group (if they are as bad as my busy seasons here at Deloitte). If anyone has some insight they could share that would be great!
Too low to jump. Especially if it's just a timing difference.
As a first year, I got a 26% bump, I’d negotiate compensation if you’re on the edge of jumping ship and the $ is the reason I wanna switch
