lol I’m a 2nd year being staffed on deals with just myself and the partner so I’m responsible for midlevel AND junior work. Count your blessings that you’ve got both someone to delegate to and a senior to ask for guidance.

Yes you’re a midlevel
Pretty typical for competent 3rd years, in my experience. It’s a tough but good transition

Agree with all comments here, very normal to be there as a third year and it’s a good sign people are trusting you with more advanced tasks.
FWIW, you’ll go through this continuously as you get more senior. It happens again as a 5th/6th year, again as an 8th year or so, and then when you make partner your world will get rocked all over again. Change is healthy, lean into it and you’ll get more out of it. Hang in there, put one foot in front of the other and tackle one thing at a time. You’ll get through it.
This is super helpful - thank you!
Sounds about right. It's a good thing. If it wasn't a little scary, you wouldn't be learning and growing.
Yes, this is entirely expected. Are you struggling? If so, I’d suggest speaking to your seniors and asking for guidance.

Agree with everyone. 3rd year is very much when you are expected to start making substantive jumps and usually when associates start to distinguish themselves among their peers
