I’m already noticing that half my calendar is turning into “OOO until after the holiday,” and I can’t tell if I should be ramping up or slowing down. Everyone seems distracted and a little fried. Do you think work is going to feel like a ghost town this week? I’m torn between pushing hard or just keeping things warm.

I’m taking the week of Thanksgiving off. Then I’m taking 10 days off for Christmas through the new year. I’m not expecting on getting too much done in the few weeks I will be working. Mostly because everybody that I sell to is in holiday mode already.

I think it's probably best to put your energy into holiday gifts and touching base with clients to make sure they don't forget about you durign the holidays. You probably will see things slow down but that doesn't mean you can't be proactive still to strengthen your relationships.

Any thought on tax resolution or going to work for a tax resolution firm?

AT&T: HBO-MAX is probably top 3 stream platforms along with netflix and disney plus. Despite this AT&T trades at a super low multiple. Is this the next glow-up a la Disney this past month? I think so. They've already got an extensive library and have consistently over 20 years delivered the best shows on TV, period. I understand that the core AT&T business may seem like a "liability" to the valuation but I still think that their valuation doesn't make sense. What am I missing?

Why do many associates at top tier firms stay to make Partner when they can go in-house in tech and make around the same, even long term? For example, you can make near 400-550k in-house at Google, Netflix, FB with 8-10 years of exp. More senior than that in-house, it can easily break $1M.

I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. After 45 minutes she said they will let me know...

2 months later and I am still waiting...

Hey FishBowl Friends, so I’m currently trying to break into tech sales/FinTech and I feel that due to my previous work history, I might not look like the ideal candidate on paper but I’m an extremely fast learner and very coachable. I’ve been a manger at a gym, got my degree in finance, worked as a client advisor at a top 3 auto dealer in the nation and now I’m a project manager at a solar company. I really want something that’s remote and steady, any recommendations on how to spruce myself up?

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?
