I’m convinced that academics are afraid of people in data that are just good at what they do and are communicative about it. I have been interviewing a lot and every time I make it to the final stage I get some academic higher up who thinks because I didn’t study cognitive science at Yale and that I’m affable that I must not be good at DS (not quantitative enough) even after I pass their Python/sql tests . This has happened time after time and I’m at a loss. Screw these gate keepers 😂

I'm currently in a process for senior associate at a Big4. The process began on July, yet between the first and second interview it took like 3-4 weeks. And between the 2nd and 3rd like 7 weeks. I sent an email to HR during those weeks asking for an update and didn't have an answer. Then it a 3rd one was scheduled three times (the manager didn't connect to the first 2) and next week I have the last interview with 1 partner. Is the timing normal? Hi folks, my base location as per EY GDS offer letter is Noida but I want it to be Gurgaon as my hometown is in Jaipur and Gurgaon is more convenient for me.. I sent email to my senior manager and got response that you can use flexibility and work in any Gds office in India. However, I feel that in case my base location is not being changed, I should shift to Noida rather than Gurgaon as there might be any formalities or facilities which we need to avail in our base location only.. Any thoughts?

What is a data lake in basic terms?

Newish to data analytics. Have some experience in power BI, sql, and R. I wanted to get some exposure to aws and saw the AWS cloud practitioner as an available course at my job.
