I’m currently looking to transition into a career in the anti-money laundering sector and would greatly appreciate any advice, resources, or referrals from those already working in the field.
I hold a postgraduate diploma in Financial Services—Investigation and Compliance and a bachelor's in business administration.

I have a total of 1.5+ years of experience as a KYC analyst at Sitel.
I've also completed the CFCS (Certified Financial Crime Specialist) exam to strengthen my credentials.

I don’t know where you’re located, but BofA is hiring a fair amount of AML/KYC associates.

You’ve already done so much to set yourself up for success. Your background is substantial! Have you tried joining AML-specific communities or LinkedIn groups? Many job leads and referrals occur there. I’d also recommend reaching out to folks with similar roles at companies you admire. Are you tailoring your resume to highlight investigative wins or red flags you’ve caught?

You could also try posting in the job referral bowl. I have been able to network and get a couple leads in there so it might be worth posting in there. Best of luck to you.

My boyfriend and I make 200K combined and live in NJ. We have $1000 in monthly car payments combined. That’s all we owe. Our credit scores are in the 800s. We have 50K to put down on a home. We have done the math and I know we can afford much more but he doesn’t want to buy more than a 400K home. I’m almost positive we can afford 500K and be more than ok. But then he starts to talk about how much kids cost and how we will be house poor and we won’t be able to afford kids. 🤔 Am I insane??

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad. My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.

Advice needed on handing in notice, I recently signed an offer letter and understand the screening process takes 4-6 weeks. I have a month's notice period and have agreed a preliminary start date in Feb.

I was planning on not handing my notice in until the checks had been completed so its all secured (not that I think I will fail any checks), but apparently I need a reference from my current employer not previous ones. Can't really do this without handing in notice can I?
