I'm feeling frustrated with funding for our legal aid organization this fiscal year. Old and newer funders keep telling me the same: Why would anyone think this is a need?, Why do lawyers need money?, or Why can't you do this all for free? The office has been closed to clients since the pandemic, but the ED decided that we HAVE to start coming in to the office for some reason, and had a stern talk to me that I need to be in at 10AM ON THE DOT, even if I work through lunch and take calls on the weekends.
