Bowl Leader
Start building relationships early with stakeholders. Think about what they need from you for the relationship to be a good one. Bend a bit sometimes, not saying to become a pushover, but definitely don’t be rigid. First impressions are hard to change.
Also, condense your advice and give short punchy advice. If you moving from law firms a higher chance you were taught to justify the fees with long answers. In-house people don’t have time to read through paragraphs and paragraphs, so if you state your advice in a few bulleted points, made an advice you’ll become the stakeholders’ hot favourite.
Good luck!
