I'm leaving Deloitte before 2 years and am being required to pay my sign-on bonus. I was thrown on a terrible project (not in my offering or industry) with no end in sight. It caused mental/physical health problems, and I was forced to leave the company to leave the project. Has anyone had luck fighting back paying the sign-on bonus or just not paying it back?

Accounting advisory big4 or IA at F100. Both senior roles. Roughly same base pay.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.

I’ve been leading a massive project by myself for the last year almost and my boss torpedoed my last round of meetings: “oh we don’t need to socialize this, I’ve been doing it, let’s just kick it off.” Okay. So turns out, no one fucking knew and now because we had one meeting instead of two, the people we met with aren’t even the ones doing the work, and they’re not telling the ones who are supposed to do the work about it. So I now need to go back and do more meetings.

I have been offered from NTT data and a week ago they gave me a call to check if i can join early.. i said i am ok to join early if NTT is ready for buyout. They said they will come back on it and a day ago i can see that the recruiter has posted a job opening in naukri with the similer set of experience with what i have and i am little skeptical that will they revoke my offer.
