No right or wrong answer when picking which provider to learn. I would say AWS just because it’s the most prevant, and majority of exit ops will be using it and prefer it on your resume.
Use acloudguru.com to learn it. Will take you from not knowing what cloud is to acing the advanced exams.
100% can’t say enough good things about acloudguru. Best training out there by a mile.
Interesting question. I have struggled with that choice through out my career. I wanted to learn both and that became quite overwhelming. I would not recommend that. Most of the projects I worked on were on Azure. Honestly, there is not much difference between azure and AWS. The fundamentals are the same, only the interface is different. I see very different opinions in the comments. Most of the healthcare companies I have worked with are using AWS. Also if you are interested in working on low code app development as well, i would suggest go for Microsoft. I started out as a Power BI/database developer and slowly moved to power app and dynamics 365 development.
You could explore Microsoft Learn. They have created learning pathways and you get points as you keep learning. You could also go for Microsoft certifications as they have great value in the job market. Ping me if you have more questions.
What industry are you interested in? Different ones have different dominant vendors. Healthcare is almost all Azure, tech startups are much more likely to be on AWS or GCP, behemoth Oracle shops might have found themselves on OCI, etc etc
To be honest, I don’t have a clear answer to what industry. Currently I’m into insurance and working with health care and insurance for sometime now.
+1 to industry. If you're in an O&G/industrial town, Azure is likely more prevalent.
Why do you want to learn AWS or Azure? Are you looking to deepen your data & analytics skills? In that case Databricks might be best because it’s similar across clouds.
Do google GCP cloud certification class it’s free. Many principles transfer to azure
Where can I find the free class?
